Senior Software Engineer (Western Union, LLC, Denver, CO)
Work with engineering and business partners to define and build out complex solutions driving value through business process simplification, automation and new product capabilities and innovations. Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software systems throughout all phases of the software development process. Demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards. Lead product solutioning end to end for new innovations with iterative improvements. Strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development. Be a culture champion on the team and across the company. Assess business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards. Interface and collaborate with other engineers in geographically distributed development centers. Apply Agile methodology daily and follow Definition of Done (DoD) process for better quality by maintaining 90% unit test coverage and 70% integration test coverage. Develop technical & domain expertise and apply to solving product challenges. Perform thorough code reviews. Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross-functional impacts. Share engineering support and release. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report to Western Union, LLC, 7001 East Belleview Ave, Denver, CO 80237. Salary: $130,520 - $150,250 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master's Degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Lead, Lead Consultant, or any occupation/position/job title involving software systems engineering.
Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience utilizing Java, Springboot, API, Microservices, REST/GraphQL, NoSQL (including Cassandra), AWS/EKS, and Test frameworks (including junit or karate); 3 years of professional experience utilizing Computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, OOPs, and OOA/D; 3 years of professional experience utilizing Modern programming languages (including Java, NodeJS, and C ) and design patterns; 3 years of professional experience utilizing Agile development methodologies with Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery); and 3 years of professional experience utilizing Data-ingesting applications using industry standard RDBMS, NoSQL, and Consumer facing APIs and services.

Annual base salary gross: $130,520 - $150,250 USD. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Union's total compensation package for employees.
