Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Windows System Administrator to join our team in Fort Mill, SC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Windows-based infrastructure, with a focus on Azure, Active Directory (AD), Group Policy (GP), Office 365 (O365), Nutanix, and Fortinet technologies. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive and resourceful individual who can hit the ground running and effectively support our diverse IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and administer Windows-based servers and systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity management.
  • Oversee Active Directory infrastructure, including user and group management, domain controllers, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Implement and manage Group Policies to enforce security policies, access controls, and system configurations.
  • Administer Office 365 applications and services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
  • Maintain and support Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure, including storage, virtualization, and networking components.
  • Configure and manage Fortinet security appliances, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure uptime and reliability.
  • Perform regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and system maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support business initiatives and projects.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to system administration.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Windows system administration roles.
  • Strong expertise in managing Azure cloud services, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS).
  • Extensive experience with Active Directory, including user/group management, domain services, and federation services.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Group Policies to enforce security and compliance standards.
  • Hands-on experience with Office 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
  • Knowledge of Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure solutions, including storage, virtualization, and networking.
  • Familiarity with Fortinet security appliances, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
