Our client, a well known broadcast music streaming and media company is urgently looking to hire an Acquisitions Edito r to join their team remotely!

** This is a 6 month contract to hire on a W2 offering a full benefits package **

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors degree or higher
• 2-3 years of experience working in book publishing
• Experience with licensing
• Experience negotiating audio rights deals with agents, publishers, and other players across the media industry
• Experience working with external clients

Job Responsibilities

• Acquisitions Editor will join the Audiobook publishing team and will play a critical role in finding and acquiring content across a wide variety of genres that can be produced into audiobooks by Spotify's in-house production team
• Scout for and review book submissions for acquisition
• Make recommendations and proposals to secure internal approvals for offers
• Create P&Ls for title level evaluation
• Support partner manager lead with contract tracking and coordination
• Present acquisitions to internal and external marketing & editorial stakeholders to secure promotional opportunities
• Collaborate on go-to-market strategies and plans
