They are seeking a talented Controls Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of control systems for medical devices. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software developers, and regulatory specialists to ensure the successful integration of control systems into clients’ products. This would be a full-time position in Beverly, MA.
Required Skills & Experience
They are seeking a talented Controls Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of control systems for medical devices. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software developers, and regulatory specialists to ensure the successful integration of control systems into clients’ products. This would be a full-time position in Beverly, MA.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing control systems for medical devices or similar regulated industries.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C , Python, or MATLAB for control algorithm development.
- Strong understanding of PID control, feedback systems, and sensor integration.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO 13485, IEC 60601, and FDA guidelines for medical devices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with software tools for simulation and modeling of control systems (e.g., Simulink).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and their application to medical device control systems.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and software version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Design and develop control systems for medical devices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform system integration, testing, and validation of control algorithms and software.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments related to control system design.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate control components into device prototypes and final products.
- Optimize control algorithms for performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Generate documentation such as design specifications, test protocols, and reports.
- Support regulatory submissions by providing technical documentation and expertise.
