Our client, a regional transmission company, is looking for a QA Test Analyst to join their team onsite (5 days per week) in Alpharetta, GA.

**This role is a 8 month contract position that has the ability to extend or convert**

Rate: $50/hour

What You Will Be Doing

• Collaborate with the development team and stakeholders to create comprehensive test plans that align with project goals and requirements. Identify test objectives, scope, and test strategies.
• Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of web applications. Perform manual and automated testing as necessary. Identify and document defects and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
• Evaluate the code base with our developers to improve test coverage across the product.
• Know our product inside and out to serve as an experienced QA resource.
• Document like you mean it! Test requirements, environments, processes, test metrics, code coverage.

Required Skills & Experience

• Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree in Computer science or related field of study.
• 6 years in a professional software QA role with 2 years in using/building automation framework.
• A tester's Mindset; ability to isolate and troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging manual and automation testing methodologies.
• Ability to align QA processes with agile/scrum methodology, sprint planning and execution.
• Experience building test plans, test cases and test scenarios.
• Experience working with large scale distributed systems and microservices based applications.
• Experience with version control, continuous integration system - Jenkins, GitHub.
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
• Experience with Behaviour Driven Development and creating automated tests with associated frameworks and tools.
• Experience with test automation using tools such as Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience working with REST APIs testing experience using Rest Assured, Postman or similar.
• Knowledge on languages such as Java, Javascript, Typescript, Python etc.
• Understand the importance of gathering useful metrics around performance and load testing.
• Confident testing RESTful APIs (both automated and exploratory) and have a strong understanding of XML and JSON.
• Comfortable working with cloud-based infrastructure using Amazon Web Services, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker etc.
• Team player with positive attitude, willingness to learn, and desire for self-improvement.
