Our client, a prominent financial services company known for its innovative solutions and commitment to customer satisfaction, is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join their team of about six others. This organization is dedicated to leveraging cutting-edge technology to provide exceptional financial services and secure, efficient transaction processing.
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s network infrastructure. You will ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the network to support the company’s operations and growth. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills to handle the complexities of a financial services network environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Design and Implementation: Develop and implement network solutions that align with business needs and security requirements. This includes LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless network configurations.
• Network Maintenance: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement upgrades to ensure optimal network functionality and minimal downtime.
• Security Management: Implement and maintain robust network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs, to protect sensitive financial data.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze network performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and services.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures to support operational efficiency and compliance requirements.
• Compliance: Ensure network infrastructure complies with industry standards and regulations, particularly those specific to the financial services sector.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, preferably within the financial services industry.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP are highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in network hardware and software, including Cisco routers and switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring tools.
• Security Expertise: Strong knowledge of network security protocols and best practices.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex network issues efficiently.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
