Quality Inspector
1st shift, M-F

Based in Germantown, Wisconsin, Motis Manufacturing Center has been manufacturing lightweight aluminum ramp systems for over 30 years. Using innovative designs and lightweight aluminum alloys, Motis Manufacturing Center has created a unique product assortment that enables our customers to solve loading, hauling or transportation challenges safely and at a reasonable cost. Our lightweight aluminum products are far superior to steel alternatives as they never rust, are light and easy to handle but are built-strong to never fail.
A Quality Inspector is responsible for day-to-day inspection, documenting quality issues per our process and ensures that product meets the specifications and standards provided by our customers. Inspectors will perform routine audits and maintain calibration tool program.
Responsibilities:

  • Inspects incoming, in-process, and out-going materials to specifications using calibrated measuring devices
  • Maintains calibration tool program
  • Works closely with and trains shop personnel
  • Evaluates parts and reports non-conformances
  • Stops production when quality issues are detected
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, control plans and engineering specifications
  • Conducts scheduled quality audits
  • Maintains documentation and records
  • Assists in maintenance of quality program
  • Investigates and implements corrective actions as needed
  • Associate degree or High School diploma (or high school equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years welding experience or CWI
  • AWS D1.2 knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 preferred
