This position is full time, Wednesday- Saturday. The Maintenance Technician provides general maintenance for properties owned and leased by Motivational Services. Supervises maintenance workers assigned to a work crew. Schedules and completes maintenance repair and preventative work according to planned schedules.

Essential Functions:

Provides maintenance of buildings and grounds as scheduled;

Provides estimates of repair and maintenance work needs;

Represents Motivational Services as a customer representative for maintenance and repair work requests;

Supervises and trains labor and entry maintenance and repair workers. Assists with Providing work opportunities for trainees to job shadow and volunteer to obtain work experiences;

Inspects properties of Motivational Services according to assigned schedule of maintenance and repair; reports any and all concerns to the facilities manager;

Assists facilities manager to schedule licensed and regulated trades as required to work on facility repairs;

Conducts annual preventative maintenance services as needed with seasonal changes;

Completes reports for supplies, work requirements, price estimates and any life-safety requirements;

Works with local code enforcement officials on regulated repairs of buildings and grounds;

Assists facilities manager to address facility needs;

All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma and at least three years of related maintenance and repair experience preferred
• Knowledge of building and fire codes; and life safety codes; experience with general building trades;
• Tools and transportation to perform maintenance and repair work;
• Experience supervising laborers and trainees desired;

Licensing/Certification Requirements:

Valid Maine driver’s license required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.54 - $20.00 per hour
