Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping individuals lead fulfilling lives by assisting with daily activities and providing personal care. Duties: - Assist individuals with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Provide companionship and emotional support - Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals - Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding - Accompany individuals to medical appointments and community outings - Monitor and record vital signs as necessary - Ensure a safe and clean environment for individuals - Follow all HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of personal information Experience: - Previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred - Knowledge of patient care techniques and caregiving best practices - Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required - Familiarity with senior care and nursing home environments is a plus - Basic knowledge of first aid procedures Benefits: - Competitive pay rates - Flexible scheduling options - Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation - Ability to pass background checks and drug screening tests If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and possess the necessary skills and qualifications, we encourage you to apply for the position of Personal Care Assistant.
