Overview

The Performance Excellence Project Manager serves as a key resource for leading and implementing innovative projects across the health system at the direction of the executive team. This position advocates, instructs, and utilizes Lean and project management methodologies to drive success and ensure alignment with our mission, vision and values of the organization. This role brings together staff from various departments with the focus on establishing alignment, setting goals and timelines, evaluating appropriate resource utilization as well as other aspects as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

1) Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Administration, Communication, Education, Clinical (RN, RT, Pharmacy, etc.) or other related area.2) Master’s Degree strongly preferred.

Experience:

1) Three years of relevant experience. 2) Previous experience in the successful development and implementation of organizational solutions and projects.3) Health care experience preferred. 4) Exposure to change management and culture change.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

1) Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff at all levels and develop strong working relationships.2) Ability to work independently and produce quality results as well as function effectively in a team environment. 3) Demonstrates influential leadership skills and creative thinking.4) Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. 5) Effective and efficient organizational, planning, time management and facilitation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.6) Proficient with Microsoft Office products including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 7) Conducts business in a professional and cordial manner that upholds the integrity and reputation of Mount Nittany Health.

License/Certification/Registration:

Lean, Six Sigma or other process improvement/project management certifications is preferred.
