Join Our Team as a Milieu Mental Health Clinician!

Are you driven by the desire to positively impact the lives of young individuals? As a Milieu Clinician (MC) at Middlesex Youth Treatment Residence, you'll be at the forefront of providing culturally sensitive therapeutic services to students within your caseload. Our approach seamlessly integrates formal counseling techniques into immersive treatment settings, ensuring that counseling occurs where it's most effective - within the Milieu and during club and activity sessions. You'll cultivate enduring connections, delivering clinical support to youths and their families, guiding them through challenges, pinpointing strengths, and fostering essential support systems for success. Join our team in exemplifying socially acceptable behaviors while implementing a diverse range of therapeutic methods. A master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field is required.

About Our Program:

At Middlesex Youth Treatment Residence, we provide a supportive living environment for youths and families navigating significant mental and behavioral health challenges. Our approach combines innovative academic strategies with a team of dedicated mental health professionals, ensuring personalized learning support that enables our students to engage with the general education curriculum outlined by the Vermont Department of Education.

Responsibilities and Duties: Full job description available at time of interview

· Write and present comprehensive assessments to faculty, referrals, families, and administration.

· Ensure residential staff adhere to appropriate programming and treatment plans for each individual.

· Monitor day-to-day operations, supervise program directors, and evaluate client services delivery.

· Collaborate with residents and families to develop short-term treatment plans.

· Serve as the agency liaison with contracting agencies, advocates, and guardians.

· Maintain compliance records for all contacts.

· Develop and nurture relationships with community, governmental, and private resources, actively participating in professional organizations.

· Support oversight of the program budget.

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.

· Minimum of 2 years' experience counseling adolescents and/or families.

· Must complete a background check.
