Description Internal Medicine Physicians needed for Mount Sinai Behavioral Health Center on the Lower East Side! Job Description The Mount Sinai Health System is currently seeking a full-time Internal Medicine Physician to join its practice at Mount Sinai Behavioral Health Center. This is a new transformational, state-of-the-art, community-oriented facility for behavioral health with integrated services for mental health, substance abuse, physical health, and social service needs for the Lower East Side community. The integrated primary care practice will provide a vital need for both the patients of this facility as well as the local community. The ideal candidates will play an instrumental role in ensuring excellent patient care, quality outcomes, and satisfaction while working in conjunction with other providers as well as administrative staff members at this new location. In addition, we would like our talented physician candidates to have a passion for primary care and be fully committed to mission of Mount Sinai Health System. The physician should be amenable to some evenings and weekends. The chosen candidates will have the opportunity to partner with world renowned, Icahn School of Medicine. Mount Sinai’s Department of Medicine is strongly committed to caring for the whole patient and places special emphasis on providing patient-centered care. Located in lower Manhattan, the Lower East Side (LES) is a vibrant dining and nightlife hub full of restaurants, bars, and music venues. On a weekend night its streets teem with people in their 20s and 30s from all parts of the city. Complementing the busy nightlife, there is a lot happening during the day as well. The LES has hundreds of restaurants and cafes, dozens of clothing stores, and over 100 art galleries. Countering the buzz of the neighborhood's core, you can find quieter spots closer to the river. About Mount Sinai Downtown: The Mount Sinai Heath System is undertaking a sweeping transformation of Mount Sinai Beth Israel (MSBI) to create the new Mount Sinai Downtown Network, an expanded and unified network of state-of-the-art facilities stretching from the East River to the Hudson River below 34th Street.
