Description The department of dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a board certified or eligible dermatologist with demonstrated excellence in patient care, teaching, research, and scholarship. Our department is experiencing an incredible time of clinical and academic growth. We have been ranked by Doximity number one in the country in terms of research output. To build upon our success we are seeking highly talented and motivated physicians who are interested in building a stellar academic career in a supportive environment in which they will have the opportunity to become key opinion leaders in inflammatory diseases or skin cancers, and participate in future therapeutic innovations. We are seeking those that are motivated and have the desire to become the future leaders and trailblazers in dermatology and would like to make a difference in patients' lives by making advances in our specialty. Mount Sinai dermatology provides a supportive environment, with mentorship and one of a kind opportunities for a successful academic path. Primary responsibilities will be providing patient care in medical dermatology in outpatient and resident clinics, and participate in our inpatient consultation and call coverage. Clinics will be located in New York City at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In addition to clinical care, applicants should anticipate an active role in teaching, scholarship, leadership and service. We are also expecting the applicant to have experience and/or desire to participate in cutting edge clinical trials or other research activities. The Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, that has the largest residency program in the country and is one of the largest and best departments in the US, is seeking academic, board certified medical and cosmetic dermatologists with a strong academic track record and a productivity and publications to join its growing faculty. We offer clinical translational, or educational research and activities in an area of the faculty’s choosing and participation and presentation at local, regional and national meetings are expected. Mentoring opportunities for clinical care, scholarship, leadership and teaching are readily available. An abundance of translational, clinical trials, clinical and basic research opportunities will be available with great potential for professional and personal advancement in a nurturing environment. Applicant will participate in the administrative operations and will be encouraged to actively serve on divisional and departmental committees. The ideal candidate should have: • Robust interest in academics, teaching, scholarly projects, and clinical/translational or basic research, and particularly in conditions involving patients of color. • Strong academic record of publications and research. • Collegial and team player mindset, be able to thrive in a team environment • Experience in lasers, and/or cosmetic procedures.
