The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple financial analysis projects at the same time extracting date from various hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Data extracting from various hospital systems (Epic (RWB), eIDX, Informatics, SQL Database (clarity or caboodle), Tableau, Cubes, and Business Intelligence Reporting software).
• Monitor and Furnish 17 Revenue Cycle and Patient Access Metrics monthly to ensure the organization is meeting departmental benchmarks.
• Present data analysis to the Vice President of Operations, Medical Directors, Administrative Directors, Practice Managers with the intent of improving operational workflows, metrics, and overall productivity.
• Assist with Go-Live Projects for a seamless transition from one EMR system to another.
• Assist with CPT analysis for Billing Optimization purposes.
• Database creation and interactive dashboards through Excel, Access, and Tableau.
• Assist with operational IT Tickets for optimization of workflows, security, reporting, and logic building validation.
• Furnish Daily Revenue/Patient Access reports to practice leadership with the intent to minimize denials and improve operational workflows.
• Assist practice leadership with any operational, revenue cycle, patient access, GL fund exception tables, and IT workflow optimization inquires with the intent to improve daily throughput.
• Assist with any P&L variances that the practice leadership might have with providing a full analysis by composing visit volume, charges/payments, denials, A/R and even checking the provider’s DAR template (determine out-of-office variance).
• Furnishing Month-end reporting for Department Heads and Leadership with the intent to provide month-to-month growth performance analysis.
• Develop financial reports and distribute to Dept. Chair, Chiefs, and administrators with the aim to improve efficiency and profitability, accountable for those metrics.
• Liaison to external medical organizations such as UHC, AAMC, MGMA for faculty productivity benchmarking.
• Monitor monthly budget, fund, and or/general ledgers for the department or business unit within the School or Hospital; provide variance analysis assistance to the Finance Team.
• Analyze the revenue cycle and revenue stream for the business unit and assist in developing feasibility and profitability analysis and business plans for new and existing programs, including new faculty/physician recruitment and revenue capture.
• Communicate with accounting staff to obtain variance explanations, alert them to wire transfers, and ensure that revenue and expenses are captured properly.
• Prepare regular ad hoc reports and participate in follow-up discussions with business unit leadership.
• Recommend and implement approved changes for efficiencies, documenting those procedures.
• May mentor, train, or oversee more junior staff’s day-to-day operations.
• May or assist with review of Time and Effort reports for faculty and staff, prepare accruals and recharges for upload monthly general ledger updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
• 4 years' of relevant experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong quantitative financial skills
