Description The Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, and at Mount Sinai Hospital is recruiting for a full-time clinical faculty position in Sleep. Mount Sinai Downtown Union Square is a newly-renovated outpatient center, and a hub for primary and specialty care, diagnostic services, infusion center, and lab all in one convenient location in a vibrant community and easily accessible by public transportation. The space is located at 10 Union Square East at the heart of the Mount Sinai Downtown Network and near restaurants and shopping. We seek candidates with a strong knowledge in Sleep Medicine with an interest in teaching Fellows, residents and medical students, who have excellent clinical and communication skills. While working in conjunction with PCPs and specialists, as well as administrative staff members, the ideal candidates will play an instrumental role in ensuring excellent patient care, quality outcomes, and satisfaction. The Sleep Attending will be part of the Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Division at Mount Sinai Hospital that provides a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to sleep disorders. The Sleep program is one of the largest academic sleep programs in the New York region and there are opportunities to be involved in clinical research. Most of the clinical experience will be working at the renowned Mount Sinai-National Jewish Health Respiratory Institute. The Respiratory Institute is a multi-disciplinary clinic created in partnership with National Jewish Health, the nation's leading respiratory hospital based in Denver, Colorado. The Institute provides care for patients with a wide range of Sleep disorders, and diverse pulmonary conditions. Patient management is provided by Sleep Attendings and Fellows, General Pulmonologists and Fellows, and subspecialists in Asthma, Allergy and Immunology, COPD, Pulmonary Hypertension, Bronchiectasis, Lung Cancer, Interstitial Lung Disease, alongside, a Cardiothoracic Surgeon and a Cardiologist. The Institute provides outpatient clinic experience for Fellows from the Mount Sinai Beth Israel/Mount Sinai West/Mount Sinai Morningside Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep, which trains 18 Fellows in a three year program. The physician will collaborate with colleagues working in the Institute, at the main campus, and in Denver. The successful applicant will be involved in educating Fellows, and Residents, and there are opportunities to perform clinical research.
