Logistics Coordinator

Position Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule transportation for patients requiring transfer between healthcare facilities, clinics, or other medical destinations.
• Liaise with transportation service providers to arrange appropriate vehicles and personnel for patient transport, ensuring the availability of necessary medical equipment and supplies.
• Communicate and coordinate with healthcare providers, patient representatives, and transportation providers to ensure a smooth and safe transfer process.
• Collaborate with billing and finance departments to ensure accurate and timely invoicing for patient transportation services.
• Resolve billing inquiries or discrepancies, working closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure prompt resolution.
• Collaborate with various internal departments, including nursing, administration, and facilities, to gather relevant information and address logistical needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with external transportation service providers, ensuring their adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and committees to contribute to process improvement initiatives and enhance overall logistics operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
• Understanding of logistics to evaluate output, products and processes
• Communicate effectively and professionally (written and orally)
• Excel and Data skills – Aggregating, Managing & Maintaining of data
• Have initiative to work with limited supervision
• Effective organization skills and ability to multi-task
• Demonstrate analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to think critically through multi-step processes and follow up on multiple details
• Computer proficient
