Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Pharmacist to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY:

Primarily accountable for the performance of pharmacy functions that serve clients in Idaho Falls and the surrounding communities.

Please note benefits are based on eligibility according to full-time, part-time or PRN status classification.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Maintain confidentiality of patient records and employee information and use discretion.
  2. The incumbent prepares compounded and/or other pharmaceuticals, functions as part of the interdisciplinary health care team, and facilitates patient-related communication with the physician or designee.
  3. May work a unique schedule that is to be arranged prior to hire. The Assistant Director of Pharmacy Outpatient Services may revise the work schedule if necessitated by the demands of the work situation.
  4. The employee is required to comply with all PCI standards and other company policies and procedures for payment card acceptance and security.

Qualifications


Education/Certification: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy and be currently licensed by the State of Idaho.

Experience: Required to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to the age of patients served, including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.

Equipment/Technology: Must possess a valid Idaho driver’s license, meet minimum Idaho State automobile insurance requirements, and have the use of an automobile for transportation.

Language/Communication: Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with a range of professionals as well as patients, their families and other caregivers.

Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills
Mental Capabilities: Must be able to maintain concentration for extended periods, since there is no tolerance for error in the work.

Interpersonal: Must be able to work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers. Works cooperatively with other members of the interdisciplinary health care team.

Performance: Must possess excellent clinical skills and superior organizational skills in order to accomplish the workload during busy periods. Must be self-motivated and able to function independently. Generally, works without direct supervision.
