Mountain West Bank is in search of a dedicated Commercial Loan Support Specialist for our amazing Coeur d'Alene team. This position performs routine duties related to booking, assembling, scanning and verifying the accuracy of commercial loan documentation; prepare commercial loan documents, service and verify the servicing of booked loans.
Hourly rate DOE $18.00
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Prepare Commercial loan documentation and change in terms with accuracy and within the department turn time standards of receipt of a completed loan request.
  • Book all types of Commercial loans and change in terms within 24 hours of receipt with accuracy.
  • Perform loan maintenance and complete research requests for Commercial loans.
  • Perform routine loan maintenance duties such as: Process payments, Setup and change AFT’s, Waive late fees, orrect and reverse loan payments
  • Process Commercial loan payoffs.
  • Process and document release of collateral as approved.
  • Work assigned pending and filing weekly, following up on all required items.
  • Conduct review of Commercial loan files. Assemble files and notate, follow-up, and track exceptions. Sign off and complete files.
  • Research unposted and WIP / GL items – making necessary corrections to loans.
  • Perform check backs on all Commercial loans booked – track errors and follow up on corrections.
  • Complete necessary tasks for HMDA LAR & CRA reporting.
  • Cross-train others.
  • Provide prompt, knowledgeable and friendly customer service to internal and external customers
  • Participates in community service activities
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
About YouREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 or more years of experience in commercial loan policies, procedures and documentation.
  • Knowledge of banking policies and procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in within strict timeframes and meet deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good knowledge of basic office equipment
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Thorough understanding of required documentation and signature requirements for various entities.
  • Thorough understanding of title reports and proper vesting to ensure lien position.
PREFERRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, TRAINING:
  • Prior banking experience
  • Knowledge of Mountain West Bank's systems and programs

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
