Job DescriptionMountain West Farm Bureau Insurance is currently hiring for a full-time Actuary II to join our team and be responsible for executing all job duties including data validation and analysis, proficiently developing pricing methodologies, conducting statistical and predictive studies, and preparing exhibits. This full-time position is located at the home office in Laramie, WY and typically works 40 hours per week between 8 am to 5 pm, Monday-Friday.
Job Location: Laramie, WY.
  • We will consider remote work locations in Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, Texas, Utah, Idaho, and New Mexico.
Salary Hiring Range: $7,441 - $9,670 per month, depending on experience.
We do not sponsor H-1B Visa's.

Requirements For a Actuary IiIn this full-time position, you will operate in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing these job duties, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and is frequently required to stand, walk and occasionally lift and move office products or supplies. The following are required to assist in the duties performed by a Actuary II:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or statistics.
  • Progression through the actuarial exam process with three passed exams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient with “R” statistical language.
  • Able to accurately perform basic actuarial analyses such as rate level indications and loss development triangles.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with ISO commercial rating.
  • Familiar with generalized linear models (GLM).
  • Familiar with predictive modeling techniques used in pricing.
