Mountain West Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company is Hiring a Human Resources Intern Near Laramie, WY

Job DescriptionPosition Summary The Temporary Human Resources Intern is responsible for project work as assigned and assisting with research, documentation, and communication. Focuses on learning how the organization runs and adds valuable contributions to the company’s operations. Learns the ins-and-outs of daily routines and procedures with focus on human resources (HR). This is a paid internship at $15.00 per hour.
Essential Functions
  • Provide support to the Organizational Development department.
  • Assist HR in:
    • Researching and compiling HR data.
    • Process documentation, including recommendation for improvements.
    • Development of company and area specific communications.
  • Complete project work as assigned.
  • Assist with general office activities as determined and directed.
  • Attend company functions and networking events.
  • Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks.
  • Participate in internship training programs.
Education And ExperienceMinimum Requirements:
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university/college program.
  • Experience in Microsoft programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Prior work experience in an office setting.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities or community outreach.
