Job Description
Mountain West Farm Bureau Insurance is currently hiring for a Temporary Organizational Development Intern to join our team. This part-time position is located at the home office in Laramie, WY and typically works 30 hours or less per week between 8 am to 5 pm, Monday-Friday.

Position Summary

The Temporary Organizational Development Intern is responsible for project work as assigned and assisting with research, documentation, and communication. Focuses on learning how the organization runs and adds valuable contributions to the company’s operations. Learns the ins-and-outs of daily routines and procedures with focus on Learning and Development and corporate communications. This is a paid internship at $15.00 per hour.

Essential Functions

  • Provide support to the Organizational Development department.
  • Assist Learning and Development in:
    1. Researching and compiling needs assessment data.
    2. Process documentation, including recommendation for improvements.
    3. Development of company and area specific communications.
  • Complete project work as assigned.
  • Assist with general office activities as determined and directed.
  • Attend company functions and networking events.
  • Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks.
  • Participate in internship training programs.

Education and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

    • High school degree or equivalent.
    • Currently enrolled in an accredited university/college program.
    • Experience in Microsoft programs.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Self-directed and able to work without supervision.
    • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
  • Preferred Requirements:

    • Prior work experience in an office setting.
    • Involvement in extracurricular activities or community outreach.
