The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing clinical nutrition services, including assessments, Medical Nutrition Therapy, nutrition education, follow up and implementing nutrition care plans per policy, collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, Coordinates with Food Service Director, supervisor and employees, provide In-Service nutrition training to Food Service personnel, design and implement performance improvement projects and other special projects as assigned.
In-patient: Attending the daily Interdisciplinary Meeting (IDT), providing MNT assessments and education per policy and be able to provide Tube Feed/TPN recommendations as needed. On-call hours included and to be discussed during interview process.
Out-patient/Community- Schedule and see out-patients providing MNT. Coordinating and providing community classes is an optional but highly encouraged extra to provide nutrition services to the community. Health fairs and expos are another avenue based on applicants abilities/desires.
Food Service- Oversee the Patient menu for room service, develop personalized patient menus as needed and educate food service employees on specialized diets. RDN to work closely with Food service director, manager and employees.
Requires a bachelor's from an accredited college or university, AND approved internship and be a licensed with CDR and certified Dietitian in the state of Utah. Food handlers permit required. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress and with multiple personalities
