Accounting Clerk

Mountainside Fitness is hiring a full-time Accounting Clerk in our Accounting Department at the Corporate Headquarters in Scottsdale. This position will report to the Financial Controller. This is an in-person/ in-office position.

Although this position is heavily focused on Accounts Payable, we are looking for an individual who is familiar with various accounting functions. This is a very high transaction position that requires strong organizational skills and significant data entry responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

· Review, Verify, and Enter Invoices

· Process expense reports

· Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments

· Draft transactions to journals, ledgers and other records

· Reconcile accounts payable transactions

· Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date

· Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries

· Maintain vendor files

· Assist with month-end closing

· Perform data entry and other administrative duties as needed

Requirements:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Knowledge of the accounts payable process and basic knowledge of general accounting procedures

· Strong organizational and communication skills

· Ability to prioritize and multitask

· Deadline and detail-oriented

· Ability to deal professionally with confidential information

· Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, emphasis on Excel

· Excellent employment references

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience:

· Previous experience in the accounting field

· Associate degree or higher in business or accounting

· Experience with Sage Intacct Accounting Software

· Experience with Sage Fixed Assets software

· Experience with ABC Financial or ABC Fitness software
