Mountaire Jobs is Hiring a Contract Manager Near Millsboro, DE

Primary Purpose - ONSITE

Strategically administer contracts to optimize operational performance, mitigate risks and uphold compliance standards with the policy and organization. Provide support with negotiating contract terms and conditions with each party, conducting thorough reviews and updating existing contracts, analyzing potential risks associated with contractual agreements, ensuring company-wide compliance and facilitating comprehensive understanding to stakeholders and leaders of contract terms and implications outlined within contracts.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Craft, evaluate and execute a wide variety of different contracts covering a range of transactions. Provide support during negotiations as needed. Populate form contracts with technical design specifications and negotiated commercial terms; coordinate across the Procurement, Sales, Operations, Finance and Legal functional groups as necessary to ensure accuracy and completeness. Modify templates and form contracts at the direction of in-house counsel and inform relevant stakeholders. Explain terms and conditions to managers and interested parties.
  2. Accountable for production and maintenance of contract management policy, procedures and standards. Manage Mountaire’s legal file repository to ensure proper controls and ease of use by all stakeholders. Accurately record contract details in contract management solutions to facilitate company tracking and reporting requirements. Maintain an audit file for each contract which will include original contract, all correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications and payment schedules. Fulfill e-signature requests from various functional teams.
  3. Maintain status records of contracts from initial request to final execution; provide status reports to functional groups as requested. Provide contract summaries and ensure contract execution in accordance with company policy; to include contract lifecycle management timeline. Prepare contract change notices, monitor contractor performance including the reporting and status of contractor and owner deliverables. Organize and prioritize contract negotiations for in-house Counsel.
  4. Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself. Support negotiations of claims, manage contractual changes and resolve disputes or conflict with suppliers. Constantly analyze risk and take adequate measures to mitigate all risk.
  5. Oversee critical supplier and contractor partnerships. Cultivate and sustain connections with suppliers, acting as the primary liaison for contract-related inquiries. Responsible for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and supplier performance. Guarantee adherence to contract terms and timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field or a minimum of 4 years' relevant procurement and negotiation experience.
  • 3 - 5 years' relevant work experience.
  • Experience with DocuSign, Salesforce or an equivalent contract management platform. 
  • Knowledge of contract law, language and legal requirements involved with contracts and risk management.
  • Negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Familiarity with business, finance and accounting terminology.
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office applications and Outlook.
  • Extremely organized, detail oriented, a proactive problem solver and an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners.
