Day Shift (7am-4pm*)

Primary Purpose

Oversee and execute all placements of chicks and movement schedule for harvest, ensures a 17-day layout. Independently makes decisions for weekly harvest and forecasts for 15 weeks in support of the Director of Live Operations. Schedules all litter orders, and washdowns, including total cleanouts, working directly with the growers and vendors. Manage all insecticide and rodenticide programs. Works directly with Live Haul to coordinate scheduling movement times for our contract growers. Supports the Director, Live Team and Production Vets with reporting, data, presentations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Schedule placements, construct weekly harvest schedule, manage layout, provide long term movement projections. Maintain a minimum 17 day lay out, ensuring plant has sufficient number of birds to harvest daily.
2. Schedule cleanouts, litter amendments, bug applications, rodenticide, and insecticide.
3. Communicate and manage contract growers and allied groups, Live Haul, Plant and Hatchery. Provide/create all supporting reports.
4. Supports Live Team, Production Vets, and Director with reports and data collection pertaining to OHC (One Health Certification).
5. Safety, ensure that all company safety guidelines and protocols are carried out.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years’ Grow Out Department experience, one-year supervisory experience preferred.
• High level proficiencies in Microsoft Office.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Oracle-based program experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of One Health Certification (OHC) data requirements.
• Able to handle multiple details simultaneously in an accurate manner. Attention to detail is a must.
