The School Custodian will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the school buildings and grounds. This role includes performing routine cleaning tasks, minor maintenance, and ensuring that the school environment is sanitary and safe for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and other school areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wax floors as needed.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, repairing fixtures, and reporting major maintenance needs.
• Ensure that supplies are stocked in restrooms, classrooms, and other areas.
• Set up and break down furniture and equipment for school events and activities.
• Respond promptly to requests for custodial assistance.
• Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor areas, including playgrounds, walkways, and parking lots.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other custodial staff to complete tasks efficiently.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the school administration.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
