Mr. Fix - It Pros looking for experienced applicants with the ability to problem solve in the field !

Mr. Fix - It Pros is a Professional Handy Man service company, we experience a high volume of work orders, most of which can be solved with a single visit to our customer.. The maintenance worker position works directly with the Project manger to perform projects at various locations throughout out Bakersfield. We have commercial and residential customers.

The maintenance technician position is an employee of Mr. Fix- It Pros, not an independent contractor, meaning the position is offered as an hourly employee, Monday through Saturday with Sunday being an emergency basis. You are paid weekly at an hourly wage depending on experience and determined upon hiring. Some overtime may be required for large scale projects. Applicants must be in good physical shape, able to spend time bending, stooping, and lifting objects.

To be an effective handyman, you need a wide range of repair and maintenance skills. A successful handyman is versatile enough to repair faulty appliances and toilets, fix minor electrical issues, remodel rooms, paint a building's exterior and handle numerous other tasks. The maintenance position requires basic knowledge and experience in:

• Appliance
• Carpentry
• Drywall
• (Light) Electrical
• Flooring
• Heating and cooling
• Kitchen and bath remodeling
• Painting
• Plumbing
• (Light) Roofing
• Windows and doors

The maintenance worker must provide their own working vehicle, but is reimbursed for gasoline and can deduct mileage on taxes yearly. At least a High School diploma or it's equivalent, requirement for this position, but the position will require some basic math and spelling skills, neat handwriting, organization and time management skills, as well as friendly customer service.
