Responsibilities:

The Company is looking to hire a Managing Director to lead the business. This role is pivotal as it is responsible for driving the strategic direction, operational excellence, and overall success of the company.

  • In this pivotal role, you will take ownership and accountability for all aspects of the business.
  • Your primary focus will be driving top-line growth of order volume, owning the P/L, and maximizing profitability.
  • Drive sales growth through direct-to-consumer channels, corporate gifting, partner websites, and licensing agreements.
  • Drive, develop, and oversee implementation of the business plan for the facility to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety) and develop strategic improvements for complex operations.
  • Ensure that staffing plans are accurately forecasted to meet business demands, addressing workload and performance requirements.
  • Ensure customer, supplier, and employee concerns are resolved.
  • Lead and direct the facility's leadership team, providing clear guidance and support to achieve operational excellence.
  • Manage financial aspects for the facility, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor and ensure facility-wide compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Collaborate with finance, sales, and account management to identify and partner with merchants, oversee both offline and paid marketing efforts, and optimize the marketplace to attract and retain consumers.
  • Utilize strong quantitative analysis skills, including data analysis, to derive actionable insights and support decision-making.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of food-based manufacturing and associated regulations, trademarks, contracts, and agreements.
  • Lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


Ideal Candidate Experience/Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within the food production or gifting industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of production processes, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong strategic planning and business development skills with a track record of driving growth and profitability.
  • Excellent financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on developing talent and fostering a positive work culture.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration and specific industry experience in food and beverage
  • Demonstrated experience setting, monitoring, and meeting quarterly and annual goals
