We are seeking a highly motivated Construction Inspector to assume resident project oversight to observe compliance with plans and specifications for public works construction in Nashville, Indiana / Columbus, Indiana area. Relevant experience would include technical construction projects, ultimately including asphalt, concrete, sanitary and storm sewers, waterlines, water or wastewater treatment facilities, or some combination.
With a variety of specialties, our construction team provides services for transportation, water, wastewater, architecture, and energy infrastructure projects. We provide administration, management, resident inspection or any combination thereof. Our years of diverse experience allow us to guide contractors in constructive ways, expedite decisions in the field, resolve disputes, and promote project savings, and timely completion for the benefit of our clients.

What You'll Do:

As the Construction Inspector you will assume resident project oversight to observe compliance with plans and specifications for public works projects in Indiana. In addition, you will document construction progress according to INDOT Manual of Procedures for Construction Inspection, the ms Plans and Specifications, and comply with all issued permits. You will be the single representative or work with a team of inspectors, depending on the size of the project. 

What You'll Bring:

  • INDOT Inspection Prequalification is a plus.
  • Experience with State and Municipal construction and materials specifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Newforma software a plus.
  • Ability to write professional daily reports, weekly reports, and monthly progress meeting agendas.
  • Take photos to document work progress and connect associate them with the respective daily reports.
  • Must be a good communicator. Position requires daily communications with Owner, Contractor, and ms office staff.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or Construction Engineering Technology (OR)
  • National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies
