MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client, are NOW HIRING a 1st Shift Equipment Operator in the Greenwood, Indiana, area!

Pay: $17.50 / hour

Shift: 1st, 6:00AM - 2:00PM, Monday to Friday

The Equipment Operator is responsible for receiving, shipping, recording, and disbursing goods to and from various locations. This role involves supporting logistics and supply chain activities, managing materials, and ensuring efficient distribution and transportation to meet business needs with minimal delay. The Equipment Operator uses various forklift equipment, including stand-up order pickers, stand-up reach forklifts, and dock stockers.

Job Duties:

• Assists with material handling and warehousing functions, including receiving, processing, storing, moving, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Verifies quantities, parts, destinations, and timing using various source documents.
• Operates machines for weighing, banding, wrapping, and packaging.
• Ensures the safe operation and servicing of mechanical, motorized, and electrical equipment within the facility.
• Performs specialized clerical and documentation tasks.
• Assists with other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 - 2 years of Stand Up tall reach forklift, Order picker forklift and Stand up dock stocker
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to read/write and interpret documents.

Additional Qualifications:

• Warehouse experience.
• Logistics experience.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills. .
• Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas.
• Ability to use ladder, hand truck, and dolly.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
• Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
• Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.
• Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.

Dress Code:

• Warehouse attire, Steel toe or composite toes shoes required from day one.
