ResponsibilitiesThe Supply Planner is responsible for deploying rough cut capacity, and mid to long term strategic planning-based methodologies, to reconcile total network demand against supply capability and ensure trustworthy, reliable requirements are populated and maintained within MRP. Facilitate cross functional strategies to optimize delivery, network inventory, and resource allocation. Collaborate with plant operations teams to ensure execution-based strategies align to strategic plan. Facilitate monthly supply review to ensure cross functional executional alignment, and long-term strategic alignment. Consolidate and highlight gaps between demand and supply, among others, and communicate supply risks to business objectives per SIOP process.
Additional responsibilities in this position include defining and maintaining replenishment strategies (Tier based system), regular review of stocking strategy, planning based master data maintenance, PIPO process participant. Ultimately, this position is a highly cross-functional role that works closely with Demand Planning, Plant Operations, Engineering, Customer Marketing, Logistics, Distribution Planning, Product Development, and Finance.
Major Responsibilities Include:
  • Supply Planning, including Rough-Cut Capacity Planning and Scenario Planning
  • Supply Optimization and Master Data Maintenance
  • Inventory Management and Analysis
  • SIOP Review and Communication
QualificationsExperience Required:Level I: 4 years production planning, distribution-based planning or equivalent supply chain planning
Level II: 6 years production planning, distribution-based planning or equivalent supply chain planning
Experience Preferred:Level I:
  • Experience using SAP for production planning
  • Experience in rough-cut capacity planning
  • Experience in managing and analyzing network inventory strategies
  • Production planning in a versatile manufacturing and distribution environment with a focus on low volume / high mix production and/or supply planning.
Level II:
  • All above plus strong analytical skills with the demonstrated ability to translate complex data into high-level scenario plans plus proven success in leading cross-functional discussions and projects without direct supervision.
  • All above plus experience with long term planning-based tools and systems
Education Required:Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Logistics related fields
Education Preferred:Professional certifications, APICS CPIM, APICS CSCP or like accreditation
