Responsibilities of a Monsignor Clarke Grade 6 Teacher include:- Work collaboratively with your 6th grade colleague in a dynamic Catholic school- Opportunity exists for the two grade 6 teachers to partner and collaborate in a team teaching model (ELA/Social Studies and - Science/Math)- Plan lessons linked to standards that meet the learning needs of all students- Engage students in a meaningful curriculum- Employ a variety of creative and innovative instructional techniques and strategies to guide the teaching and learning of all students in both subject matter and social, emotional, and behavioral skill areas- Teach and encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior- Communicate professionally in all dealings with students, families and staff- Actively participate in the professional community through common planning, professional development, and self reflection- Assess the growth and accomplishments of students on a regular basis, providing proper reports/grading as required- Provide a learning environment that encourages positive intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth of all students- Possess a high level of organization and planning, and maintains equipment, materials and space in good order.- Be a part of a close, supportive, faith-based community- Support the school’s policies, mission, and visionJob Qualifications:- Hold or able to obtain a valid educator certificateor - Have substantial background and relevant life experiences to professionally engage 6th grade students- BA or BS degree from an accredited college preferred- Must pass Triple I criminal background check.
