We a seeking a skilled Medical Photographer / Patient Care Tech to join one of the nation's top cancer research hospitals. You will provide basic patient care and perform specific technical procedures under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse according to established policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will include performing a variety of digital photographic and image database services (e.g. patient photography, image scanning and database entry) in fulfillment of department requests for use in patient care and follow up, publications, lectures, research and documentation.

YOU WILL:
* Perform all phases of complex patient, specimen, portrait, and photomicrography to be used as teaching and/or medical/legal aids.
* Creates and designs graphics for layouts of all forms of printed matter, logos, supporting materials such as computer based presentations using various design equipment.
* Performs a wide variety of computer, scanning and digital imaging, printing and print correction by use of high-end computer hardware and software.
* Performs all quality control procedures for computer-generated images.
* Operates and maintains photography equipment.
* Ensures the timely, accurate and smooth running of graphic design and digital imaging procedures.
* Maintains neat, accurate documents.
YOU NEED:
* Certificate of completion from a Nursing Assistant program or comparable training program.
* At least 1 year of experience in patient care.
* BLS certification required
* Prior experience in Medical Digital Photography or Certification in Medical Photography highly preferred.
HOURS:
* Full-Time hours: 10 hour shifts, Monday-Friday from 8a-6p. This position will require support to our Commack location if needed.
