MSP Personnel is Hiring a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Near Kalispell, MT

Our client, a reputable firm in Kalispell, MT, is looking for a Certified Public Accountant to join their team. This firm specializes in Tax Preparation, Planning, Consultation, and Bookkeeping. This Client is looking to sell their practice in approximately five years. They are looking to pass on the business to someone who can take over.

The ideal Candidate will be an individual that is ready to take on this role and ultimately be their own boss in the future.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong general accounting knowledge with significant experience doing trial balance work and complex journal entries.
  • Technical knowledge sufficient to supervise Staff and Senior Accountants on financial statement audit, review and compilation engagements, as well as in the preparation of complex tax returns.
  • Experience in preparing a wide variety of complex tax returns, and significant experience reviewing the work of others.
  • Proficiency with tax law and complex tax research using available resources and platforms.
  • Through understanding of GAAP, generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of the Firm’s standard software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and with a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, assignments and deadlines, and to delegate appropriately and effectively.
  • Experience in supervising and developing others.

Ideal Candidates Will Possess the Following:

  • 4 years of experience at a public accounting firm.
  • CPA is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Tax, or a Related Field is required.
  • Ambitious to grow within the company and mentor staff.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and requests.
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
