MSP Personnel is Hiring a Tax Director Near Brockton, MA

Our client is a leading provider of accounting, auditing, tax, and business services to non-profit organizations, small to large-sized businesses, and high-net-worth individuals throughout New England. They have been providing quality services to the retail, wholesale, construction, hospitality, real estate, and service industries for over 30 years. They are seeking a highly skilled CPA to join their team as a Tax Director.

Ideal candidates will have the following:

  • CPA is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in tax planning and compliance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful tax strategies that drive business results.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate tax concepts to non-tax
  • professionals.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience managing and developing a team of tax professionals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Manage the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns, including income, sales, and property tax.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact on the company and advise senior management on potential risks and opportunities.
  • Lead tax planning initiatives to optimize the company's overall financial performance and support strategic business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to other departments on tax-related matters, including mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, and employee compensation.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing coaching and development opportunities to ensure their continued growth and success.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and government agencies to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of the company's tax processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.

Job Type: Full-time, Fully In-Office for the first year with Hybrid potential.

Pay: $100,000 - $125,000 per year
