Full Time, 40hrs/wk, Day Shift, Rotating Weekends and Holidays
The Position:
The Lab Point of Care (POC) Technician works in collaboration with the veterinary staff and the Pathology team to provide Angell clientele with high quality clinical and anatomical laboratory services. These laboratory and hospital services include: analyzing point of care tests while operating various types of laboratory equipment and entering test results into the laboratory information system and hospital electronic medical record. The Lab POC Technician operates laboratory equipment and instrumentation including performance of various manual testing methods in accordance with established policies to provide timely and accurate test results. This position requires interaction and communication between the veterinary staff, CCU staff and laboratory staff. Computer and clerical skills are required to maintain data for the Laboratory Information System (LIS), lab files and processing of test requests.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Associates or Bachelors in a science related field preferred.
Experience: Previous Lab experience preferred, previous histology and or grossing experience preferred.
