Mt Blue Regional School District is Hiring an Interim Director of Foster CTE Near Farmington, ME

REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools

SUPERVISES: All Foster CTE Staff

Foster CTE Center in Farmington is seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to serve as the Interim CTE Director for a one-year term. In this focused role, you will ensure the smooth operation and continued success of our existing CTE programs during this transitional period.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership and stability for the CTE Center during a period of interim leadership.
  • Maintain the current focus and direction of our established CTE programs, ensuring their continued effectiveness.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the CTE Center, including curriculum delivery, grant oversight, student support, and staff supervision and evaluation.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Identify opportunities for minor program improvements and implement them seamlessly.
  • Manage and allocate CTE resources effectively within existing budgets.
  • Liaise with the Maine Department of Education (DOE) on program compliance and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in education, administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 040 certification.
  • Minimum of five years of experience leading and managing educational programs (experience with CTE programs a plus).
  • Proven ability to maintain program quality and student success.
  • Strong understanding of current educational best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in grant management.
  • Deep understanding of safety regulations and procedures in a school setting.
