• The Residential Counselor is responsible for providing personal care, assisting with meals, and housekeeping, transport function of the program and assisting the Program Director, Program Coordinator, House Manager or designee.in the planning and implementation of program activities.• Observation of each resident and immediately reporting any changes in their condition to the Program Director, Program Coordinator, House Manager or designee.• Taking precaution to prevent the spread of infection;• Ensure Data Collection;• Informing the Program Director, Program Coordinator, House Manager or designee when individuals are not eating or taking fluids adequately;• Assisting in emergencies and following proper procedures;• Daily straightening of clothing storage area and personal care and incontinence supplies;• Under the coordination of the Program Director, Program Coordinator, House Manager or designee, assisting in the planning and implementation of all program activities including but not limited to: Program Goals Daily Exercise; Active Team Games; Cognitively Stimulating Activities; Table Games; Arts and Crafts; Family Programming and Assistance; Parties and Holiday Celebrations; Cooking Community outings; Religious Programs; Environmental Activities; Music Therapy; Daily cleaning and straightening of the living areas and supply cabinets, kitchen area, kitchen cabinets and refrigerator, and taking the trash out; Daily documentation to monthly logs of all residents’ progress as pertains to dietary intake, water intake, bowel/bladder functions, participation in scheduled activities and any other observation; Attendance at all in-service training sessions, staff meeting and other personnel development activities; Being alert and awake; Being responsible for all receipts when on an activity; Reporting any insubordinate employees; Reporting to work on time; Reporting unusual events, incidents, person illnesses or injuries, and documenting in progress notes. Any other related task as assigned by the Program Director, Program Coordinator, House Manager or designee.
