Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Be the bridge for all technical issues between internal technical stakeholders and the Regional Category Manager. Deliver innovation, total cost, and supplier performance improvements. Drive for optimization, standardization, and utilization of regional preferred suppliers in the assigned category of Fabricated Sheet Metal products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work in tandem with the Regional Category Manager in the development and implementation of a cohesive procurement and category strategy for machined parts in North America.
Collaborate with Category Managers in supplier evaluations and selection recommendations.
Lead strategic supplier management activities through audits, performance reviews and continuous Improvement activities.
Develop and grow relationships with internal stakeholders (R&D, Product Managers and Project Engineers) in North America.
Consulting in product development and engineering changes in close collaboration with R&D, project and product managers for product development and engineering change activities.
Become the go-to technical expert for Fabricated sheet metal products Coordinate multi-unit, cross-functional global projects, and support both regional and global project implementations.
Identification and implementation of savings opportunities by assisting internal stakeholders with the transfer and application of best practices and implementation of Mettler Toledo design standard guidelines.
Recognized as the single point of contact for dedicated US business unit key stakeholders for technical assistance related to machined parts.
Act as the gate keeper for all new material introduction, working closely with R&D and Quality groups for qualification Perform opportunity analysis through value engineering, and part / material standardization.
Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

At least 3 years of relevant work experience in procurement, supply chain, or in a manufacturing environment.
Undergraduate degree in Business or Engineering Experience working in a highly matrixed multicultural organization.
Open-minded and engaged personality.
Strong financial and analytical ability.
Experience presenting to all levels of a global organization.
Proficient user of MS Office, SAP and IT savvy in general.
Ability to effectively present information to stakeholders and respond accordingly to questions and requests from all levels of an organization.
Travel 10-25% both domestically and internationally.
