The Director of Operations is responsible for the strategic and tactical leadership of a team of supervisory leadership managing permitting, drafting, GIS, field engineering, and other work as needed as well as a team of project managers.
Essential Job Functions:
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to function as part of a team and lead our operational teams while providing effective communication regarding department health and work status to senior management. Must be able to develop and maintain relationships with clients in partnership with project managers and develop a clear understanding of their requirements, while being able to pivot quickly when client needs change.
Responsibilities:
• Manage team capacity and utilization
• Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Serve as an escalation point for customer and employee needs
• Manage and contribute to department operating budgets
• Assist the Business Development team with presentations to new and existing customers
• Assist with bid and award management
• Identify growth opportunities and risks
• Promote a positive environment that caters to both customer expectations and employee needs
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Strong understanding of HFC and fiber networks
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and time management skills
• Strong desire to mentor and motivate team members
Prior Experience:
• Minimum of 8 years of telecommunications experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles
Technical Skills:
At least three years of previous OSP drafting experience is preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel (required)
• Proficiency or ability to become proficient with AutoCAD, Bentley, O-Calc, and Google Earth

Pay:
Yearly Salary $120,000 to $135,000 depending on experience. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus dependent on meeting core business objectives.
