Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development, modification, testing and validation of ns-3 models.
• Contribute to the design, configuration, operation, and analysis of network simulation experiments.
• Participate in tests and analysis utilizing network simulation and emulation verification/validation models, ensuring robust and reliable network performance.
• Participate in software reviews with colleagues.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, project management, and external stakeholders, to ensure project alignment with client needs and company goals.
• Manage and maintain project documentation and system specifications, with detailed records of networking configurations and protocols.
• Ensure compliance with government standards and regulations in all project aspects.
• Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making processes, addressing technical challenges related to network design and implementation, and providing viable networking solutions.
• Participate in regular team meetings, contributing to strategic planning and project reviews.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of experience in computer programming with exposure to network design/engineering emphasizing practical experience and/or familiarity with ns-3 models.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science or electrical engineering, or equivalent proficiency.
• Proficiency in C and/or C , Python, and systems programming principles.
• Thorough understanding of software engineering projects from conception to completion, with a specific emphasis on network design, development, and implementation.
• Thorough understanding of networking and congestion control protocols.
• Familiarity with and/or understanding of 4G/5G architecture and models in ns-3.
• Familiarity with and/or understanding of RF propagation effects and various modeling techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers and clients, especially regarding network-related topics.
• Proven decision-making and multitasking abilities, with a track record of seeing projects through to completion.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
