Under general supervision, performs technical and administrative accounting work in maintaining fiscal records and systems of the Tribe.

EDUCATION - EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION:Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or a closely related field (significant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree), and three (3) years of directly related experience.
SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION:Knowledge of: Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
Accounting systems and financial transactions.
Skill in: Using various automated financial management systems, personal, and mainframe computers.
Using reconciliation procedures.
Oral and written communication.
Organization and time management.
Problem solving & analysis.
Creating computer spreadsheets and word processing documents.
Analyzing and interpreting financial reports.
Dealing with difficult people and situations.
