Looking for the next step in your Estimating career? Our client in San Antonio, Texas is hiring an experienced Estimator to manage large heavy civil projects! With a well-established presence in Texas and out of state, they continue to expand and are looking for the right individual to join the team. Do you have 3 years of estimating knowledge with a heavy civil contractor? Then this might be the right opportunity for you.
Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid the bidding process
- Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to successfully deliver information
- Maintain great client relationships in order to bid/win new heavy civil work
- Attend weekly meetings in order to stay up to date on current project statuses
- Ability to estimate multiple projects at once under given deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Bachelor of Science (a plus)
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans
- 3 years full cycle estimating heavy civil projects including TXDOT from $1MM-$30MM
- Ability to adapt and problem solve through analytical thinking skills
- HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software knowledge or similar software is preferred
