Position Overview:
We seek a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development to drive company growth and expansion in the high-speed test and measurement market. A successful candidate will play a pivotal role in scoping new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and nurturing/scaling existing client relationships. As a key member of our team, the DBD will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and positioning the company for success in a competitive marketplace. The DBD will work closely with the Measurement Solution BU General Manager, individual Product Line Managers, along with the core sales team on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Identifying Opportunities:
- Research and analyze market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify potential areas for growth and expansion.
- Assess market needs and customer requirements to develop targeted strategies for business development.
2. Building Strategic Partnerships:
- Establish and maintain partnerships with other companies, organizations, or institutions to enhance the company's offerings and broaden its market reach.
- Collaborate with partners to develop joint solutions and go-to-market strategies.
3. Generating Leads:
- Develop and execute strategies to generate new leads and opportunities for the company, leveraging networking, industry events, and digital marketing channels.
- Qualify leads and prioritize opportunities based on strategic fit and potential for business growth.
4. Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services to existing clients. Coordinate with the other Business Units of MultiLane.
5. Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans and goals for the company, based on market insights, industry trends, and business objectives.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on business development activities, market trends, and competitor activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecom Engineering or related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in business development or sales roles within the high-tech industry, with a focus on high-speed test and measurement.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets in a competitive market environment.
- Strong understanding of high-speed test and measurement technologies, applications, and customer requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Creativity and adaptability to changing market conditions.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
