Multnomah Athletic Club is Hiring a Weekend Youth Programs Attendant Near Portland, OR

Join us at MAC, where every day is an adventure and every interaction is an opportunity. We're seeking a dedicated Weekend Youth Programs Attendant available on Saturdays and Sundays, with shift times ranging from 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. and 4:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. As a Weekend Youth Programs Attendant, you'll play a vital role in creating safe and memorable experiences for children aged six weeks to six years. This part-time position offers the flexibility to shape your schedule, with the potential for increased hours based on your availability beyond the specified times. Responsibilities
  • Foster a safe and welcoming environment for children aged infant to 6 years.
  • Engage positively with parents, children, and colleagues, maintaining a friendly and upbeat demeanor.
  • Assist with arrivals and departures, updating records as necessary.
  • Support children and parents during separation, easing transitions with care and compassion.
  • Promote positive behavior among children, utilizing redirection and quiet activities.
  • Lead and supervise activities such as games, crafts, storytelling, and imaginative play.
  • Attend to children's toileting, diapering, and hygiene needs following established protocols.
Qualifications
  • Preferred experience working with children aged infant to 6 years.
  • First Aid/CPR certification and willingness to complete Recognizing & Reporting Child Abuse Neglect training within 90 days of hire.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals in various situations.
  • Capacity to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and members.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
