Munich Airport NJ LLC (MANJ) is an US-based subsidiary of the German Airport Operator Munich Airport. MANJ is responsible for the operations, maintenance and concession management at the New Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). IT Application Manager You will be part of an IT operations team responsible for all systems available to our airport tenants. This role will focus on the aircraft and passenger supporting systems. We have a strong customer service mindset and focus on proactive measures to continue steady state operational effectiveness. Your Future Responsibilities
Manages the operation, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of Airport Operational systems such as:
o Airport/Aircraft Resource Management
o Public Flight Information
o Common use passenger processing
o Aircraft docking guidance
o Wayfinding & passenger interactive
o Security and other systems as required
Support and provide guidance for ITIL service delivery as it pertains to each of your respective systems
Take ownership of root cause analysis, remediation planning and execution
Oversee managed service providers contracted to deliver operations and maintenance of these solutions
Responsible for change management processes and approvals. Coordination with stakeholders for change implementation within defined maintenance windows
Point person for issue escalation and problem resolution. Be available for emergency escalation in any outage event impacting area of responsibility
Report on KPI or other metrics that define Service Level agreements within this scope
Manage errors, bugs or new functionality requests from user base and drive roadmap with system providers. Work with stakeholders to define business and system requirements for existing and new implementations
Supervise activities of a small department, major project, and several smaller projects
Responsible to ensure the applications are sufficient and meet the expectation of the airport business units
Responsible for maintaining user accounts and data backup
Your Education & Training
10 years progressively responsible experience in information technology, including one year performing application and/or programming analysis, or equivalent, such as business analysis, is required. Two years’ experience in managing projects and resources
Certification in Computer Science, Application Development or Project Management is preferred
Responsible for providing hands-on development, design, implementation, and support of business solutions based on IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and other relevant technologies
Certification in Service Management, Project Management, or Business Analysis is preferred
2 Years experience working in Airport or Airline IT operations preferred
Your Skills & Experience
Very good knowledge and practical experience of the MS Office products (MS Word, MS Excel, MS, PowerPoint, MS Visio, and MS Project)
Experience working in an airport environment is preferred
Very good knowledge in English (spoken and written), interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent writing skills
