POSITION:

Sales Operations and Inside Sales Associate

Reports to: National Sales Director, Munro

Job classification: Full-time, hourly

Description:

Munro Companies, Inc. is a rapidly growing manufacturer, based in Grand Junction, CO. As a manufacturer of centrifugal and submersible pumps, pump stations, grooved fittings, specialty valves, and other pump accessories, we partner with irrigation distributors nationwide. Munro builds innovative, professional-grade products using high-quality components to out-perform and out-last anything else in the market.

This is a dual responsibility role. The Sales Operations/Inside Sales Associate is responsible for sales support activities as well as direct sales activities, including collaborating with the National Sales Director, Sales team, and business unit managers, to execute sales plans and tactics. The Sales Operations/Inside Sales Associate will develop and maintain customer relations, prepare and deliver competitive proposals, and ensure that customers’ needs are communicated internally. Additionally, this position supports the sales team by generating reports, following up on customer requests, and other administrative duties. You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales.

Job Duties

Sales Operations activities, including:

Prepare, deliver and follow up on quotes

Produce regular reports on sales activity effectiveness and research findings.

Research and understand relevant markets, competitors, customers and prospects.

Act as CRM data admin, updating and maintaining customer data both proactively and based on team requests.

Assist in qualifying and onboarding new accounts.

Participate in tradeshows and support training events, as needed, both in-house and at customer locations.

Inside Sales activities, including:

Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and proactive outbound calls and emails as well as quote follow-up.

Assist in the execution of an aggressive sales plan to meet agreed upon sales goals, with a focus on developing and growing accounts.

Additional:

Delivers an excellent customer experience in all customer interactions.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.

Contributes to product excellence and market penetration by identifying possible product enhancements and new product development.

Build the Munro brand by consistently and effectively representing and communicating our core values.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Phone-based communication skills: Strong phone presence and listening skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision and identify and solve problems or correct errors.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage time and prioritize effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving ability and strategic thinking.
  • Speaking and Writing: Great written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Computer skills: Must be able to navigate a wide range of computer programs with ease. Ability to quickly learn and retain knowledge of new computer programs.
  • Past experience: Experience in sales or sales support is required. Experience in the pump, irrigation, water feature, or general industrial industries is a plus.

Physical Job Requirements:

  • Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with meal break
  • Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions
  • Ability to hear and respond to facility commands
  • Ability to speak English aloud and be understood by others
  • Cognitive abilities – must be able to perform complex math functions, understand and implement strategic business functions, communicate well with customers & colleagues to relay and understand complex ideas and instructions.

Location: Grand Junction, Colorado; a relocation package is not available for this position.

Education level: High School diploma or GED required, Associates or Bachelors degree in business or a related field preferred.

Travel Required: 5-10%

Salary range: $17-$22/hour variable bonus, commensurate with experience, plus health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k with matching, and vacation and sick time benefits available. .
