Murray Osorio is looking to hire a highly motivated Senior Defensive Immigration Paralegal to join our team. We are a full-service immigration firm and we represent clients before immigration offices and courts throughout the country and consular posts throughout the world.

Senior Immigration Paralegals work a variety of cases, interview clients, managing our client database, providing interpretation support, completing applications, researching country conditions, assisting in drafting briefs, and providing joint supervision with other Sr. paralegals of our roster of contractor legal aids. A successful candidate will be bilingual (English/Spanish), will display the ability to work independently, and as a cohesive unit. A Senior Paralegal must work effectively, be a self-starter, meet deadlines, and will possess great attention to detail and organizational skills. Standout candidates excel at time management and strive to be client services-orientated.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking)
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to handle volume of work independently and in teams.
• Be detail oriented with strong highly organizational and time-management skills.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and proof-reading skills.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• · 1 Year of immigration experience, removal defense preferred.

Preferred qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience working in law firm setting (immigration experience preferred)
• Bachelors/associate degree with paralegal studies (ABA approved)
• Experience using Docket wise, Salesforce, SharePoint, Zoom, and Outlook apps

The Paralegal position is a hybrid position with 3 days in either our Fairfax, VA location or our Silver Spring, MD location and the other 2 days remote. There is an opportunity to go fully remote after completing the initial 90 days of employment.
