The Senior Internal Consultant is a vital member of the Office of the CEO and Performance Services. The Senior Internal Consultant provides client facing, consultative and advisory services to MUSC Health executive leaders, ICCE, Business Units, Functional areas and teams and serves as the lead liaison to the Office of the CEO and Performance Services across the Health System.

Work ShiftJob DescriptionThe Senior Consultant leads the development and management of strategic business relationships, across the relationship spectrum, from affiliations and partnerships to mergers or acquisitions. The role provides leadership for the systemization and integration of the health system. The leader presents key findings and opportunities identified from engagements and other initiatives to executive leadership. The consultant provides advisory services tactical alignment and growth using best practices for project management, process improvement and business relationship management. The leader is responsible for partnering with leaders across the health system and its divisions in in leading consulting engagements, performance improvement initiatives and controlling monitoring and executing major projects. This role is responsible for developing innovative solutions and alternatives to address specific business objectives and enhance performance across the MUSC Health System. The role coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of engagements.
The leader ensures the appropriate application of best practice standards, guidelines, procedures and tools for analyzing, designing, and management of business solutions, processes. This role provides guidance and support in the development of Enterprise strategies and provides leadership for novel programs, projects or other initiatives that transform the health system. The Senior Internal Consultant provides operational and budgetary oversight for key programs and initiatives and is responsible for providing supervision to junior team members, contractor and managing external consulting engagements key programs and initiatives and is responsible for providing supervision to junior team members, matrixed staff, contractors and the management of system wide external consulting engagements.
As a vital member of the Office of the CEO, the Senor Internal Consultant leads the integration and systemization of health system mergers and acquisitions, serving as a senior member of the Corporate Integration Management Office.
Additional Job DescriptionMaster’s degree in a relevant discipline (MBA, MHA, MS, etc.) and minimum of 3 years of work experience in project management, process improvement, and or/consulting required. Completion of an administrative fellowship or MUSC Management Development Program is preferred.
Program Management Experience Preferred.Experience and/or certification(s) related to Business Relationship Management, Project Management, Organizational Change Management and/or Lean Six Sigma/Performance Improvement required.
Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a demanding work environment is essential. Ability to work with multiple technical managers and project teams simultaneously is required. Strong interpersonal skills required to foster collaborative partnerships in a team environment.
Working knowledge of Tableau, SharePoint, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and project management tools preferred.
