The Cochlear Implant and Hearing Research Programs at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC are seeking a Program Coordinator to assist with ongoing research studies that focus on improving utilization and outcomes of all forms of hearing rehabilitation, especially cochlear implants. The Program Coordinator plays an important role in this exciting research by working with researchers, clinicians and patients and will be primarily responsible for the regulatory, data management and coordinating oversight of research studies and clinical trials.Entity

Job Description
Job Duties:
35% - Plan, coordinate, and implement research study activities as specified in the research study protocol; including: management and quality manage patient screening (clinic-based recruitment and enrollment); conducting interviews with patients for quantitative and qualitative data collection; longitudinal management of enrolled participants to ensure high rates of data collection and participant retention; REDCap data entry and data management; and data collection from the electronic medical record.
25% - Collaborate with members of the research team in developing and implementing strategies for effective trial management; including: optimize data collection and management strategies; attend and run weekly team study meetings.
20% - Prepare regulatory documentation and participate in reporting and communications for scientific and IRB review. Have oversight of study and clinical trial reporting and regulatory documentation (to MUSC Institutional Review Board, National Institutes of Health, and Clinicaltrials.gov)
10% - Manage day-to-day trial budget-related expenditures.
10% - Assist with grant-writing and manuscript development.

Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and one year relevant program experience.
